I was born and raised here in Stafford County, and as a life-long resident, I am proud to call this community my home. I attended Stafford County Schools and went on to build a long and dedicated career with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
For 44 years, I had the privilege of serving our County in many different capacities. I began as a patrol officer and later advanced to First Sergeant. In that role, I was honored to work closely with our seniors through the TRIAD program—a partnership between law enforcement, senior citizens, and community organizations—and to lead and participate in a variety of community-based initiatives, including Neighborhood Watch, Crime Solvers, and the Sheriff’s Special Star Cadet Program.
I have been married to my wife, Gina, for more than 30 years, and together we have raised two children, both of whom attended Stafford County Schools. I remain actively involved in the community—continuing my service with the Sheriff’s Department while also working part-time with Covenant Funeral Home. I am a member of The Mount Church in Garrisonville and have proudly been part of the Sons of the American Legion Post 290 for the last 40 years. In addition to my time running rescue with the Stafford Rescue Squad, I remain affiliated today as a life member. I also serve as a Board Member of the Area 11 Special Olympics and on the Fire and Rescue Memorial Committee.
Before being elected to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors four years ago, I served two terms on the Stafford Planning Commission representing the Hartwood District. In that capacity, I addressed important land use issues such as approval authority for preliminary subdivision plans, waivers of subdivision requirements, and requests for compliance with the Comprehensive Plan.
Since joining the Board of Supervisors, I have been deeply engaged in collaborative leadership. I have served on the Joint Schools Working Committee, the Public Safety Memorial Committee, and the Community Policy and Management Team. Currently, I represent the Board on the George Washington Regional Commission (a multi-county planning and coordination body), the Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging Healthy Generations (a senior services organization), the Stafford County Social Services Board (which oversees social and family services), and the Westlake Architectural Review Board (which guides development standards in the Westlake community). In addition, I serve as an alternate on both the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (a regional transportation planning group) and the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (which manages regional bus and transit services).
Throughout my life and career, I have been committed to service, both in uniform and as a community leader. I remain dedicated to working with the people of Stafford County to preserve the character of our community, ensure public safety, and strengthen the quality of life for all residents.
